Special Occasion Curly Hairstyles

Curly Special Occassion Hair

Ask yourself, do you want to look back and see yourself, or someone else, or even worse some trending style that wasn’t what your everyday look is? DO YOU! Be yourself, just elevated. Talk with or work with a stylist that will use your natural texture and have them place it into the look that you will look back on with pride. Do not in my option change your hair color, highlights, or cut right before your event. Schedule a month or a few weeks before to make sure you are comfortable with the look and give yourself time to adjust any cutting or toning that needs to be done.

I also recommend practicing styles way before your event. You may see something in a book and say “That’s It!” But then when you see it in yourself, it is all wrong. Give many ideas and photos to the stylist of what you are attracted to and create your unique look. It is also important to feel how the style is for a long time. Something smooth and firmly in place looks great in a picture but is sometimes unrealistic to move around in.

The same with makeup and lashes. Have a trial run. Make sure you see what you want not what a magazine says it should be. And PLEASE, DO NOT have false lashes put on the day of your event. Trust me, you don’t want to find out that your eyes can’t hold up the lashes, or worse that you have an allergic reaction to the glue. TRUST ME!
